Project Goodwill 2017

This is the time where aspiring fashion designers, moguls, and bloggers get their drive. The rush of getting models onto the runway, taking the perfect selfie to show off your #OOTD on your Social Media platform, learning about the new trends for the season; it’s New York Fashion Week. Not everyone can get in on the action in New York, so they create opportunities where they are to reach those NYFW goals. Here at Goodwill we would like to take part in giving those aspiring designers a push.

Project Goodwill features aspiring designers from the community. Each designer is tasked with designing wearable garments using materials from Goodwill North Central Texas stores. Judges from all aspects of the fashion industry evaluate the designers’ work based on expression, design, and technique during this fun and exciting fashion show. This will be an exciting night of fashion and fun to support Goodwill North Central Texas’s mission to empower people with disabilities, disadvantages and other barriers to employment so that they may achieve maximum independence. All proceeds from Project Goodwill support the Moncrief Ryan Scholarship Fund to Goodwill’s North Texas Institute for Career Development (NTI) and Goodwill’s Workforce Development Department.

Additional information on participating or 2017 sponsorships is available here or please call 817-332-7866 or contact Shay Dial Johnson, Vice President of Community Engagement.
