GOODWILL TO OFFER DONATION HOME PICKUP SERVICE, GOODtoGO

Fort Worth, Texas (July 25, 2015) — Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth announced today that the company will now offer a donation home pickup service, GOODtoGO, for certain areas of Northeast Tarrant County, including Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake and Keller.

Currently, GOODtoGO will serve residents in Northeast Tarrant County, specifically residents living in the following zip codes: 76051, 76099, 76034, 76092, 76244 and 76248. As GOODtoGO continues to grow, Goodwill Fort Worth is also developing new and innovative methods of collecting donations from residents.

“We are thrilled to roll out GOODtoGO,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth. “Life gets busy and we understand that it can be a hassle to haul your gently used goods across town to drop them off at a donation station. Now, with a simple call or visit to our website we can pick those items up for you.”

Last year, Goodwill Industries collected 27,189,810 lbs. of donations. From the sale of these donations Goodwill’s in Texas provided 1.2 million dollars in services to 151,894 people. The GOODtoGo program will allow Goodwill Fort Worth to further its mission of providing job and career services for people with disabilities, such as physical or mental disabilities, lack of education or work experience and homelessness.

Brought on as part of the GOODtoGo program, Corie Wood, new manager of donation strategies, will administer the new home pickup service, which will include a dispatcher and drive dedicated to home pickups.
