Now a days, Valentine’s Day isn’t just a day to celebrate your sweetheart, but it is also day to show appreciation to those you love! Here at Goodwill we would like to shine a light on a few of our employees and their testimonies! Each of these testimonials are a light that shines on our services to our community.
Roger Barto:
Roger Barto is Goodwill North Central Texas’s 2015 Team Member of the Year and was honored as such earlier this year at Goodwill North Central Texas’s Annual Operation Team Work Celebration! It’s an honor well deserved. Roger joined the Goodwill family more than 23 years ago in 1992. Known for getting the job down and doing it right the first time, Roger is a welcome and familiar face on the Goodwill Campus loading dock.
Amber Tamplin:
Amber Tamplin, the Training Store Manager of Goodwill North Central Texas, has only had one job. It’s a job that’s turned into a career. For close to ten years, Amber has climbed her way through the ranks promoting from part time cashier, to full time cashier, to lead merchandiser, to lead cashier, to assistant manager, to store manager, and now she works as the store manager of Goodwill North Central Texas’s training store in which the majority of all Retail Team Members are trained in.
Joe Dee Barrett:
Joe Dee Barrett just celebrated his 32nd year anniversary at Goodwill North Central Texas. He’s worked as a material handler on the dock in areas such as sorting, salvage, bailing and many more. Joe Dee loves to come work and has never let his disability keep him from doing just that. Joe Dee came to Goodwill on October 24, 1983 after being referred by MHMR. He had graduated from Azle high school and participated in their janitorial training program. He’d also worked for a short time for piece rate at a Benbrook facility, but Joe Dee his family were looking for something more.
