Goodwill Classic Golf Tournament to Be Held November 6
WHO: Honorary Tournament Chair Jeff Bland, past Sr. Director, Employee Relations at Radio Shack; More than 190 golfers and sponsors of the Goodwill Classic; Goodwill Board of Directors and staff members.
WHAT: Billed as a “Tournament of Excellence,” the Goodwill Classic benefits Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth, an organization that helps rebuild countless lives through its job training and placement programs.
All proceeds from the tournament go to support the Moncrief-Ryan Goodwill’s North Texas Institute for Career Development (NTI) and Goodwill’s Workforce Development Program supporting initiatives focusing on the homeless (GoodwillWorks), at-risk youth (E-Squared), veterans (VetWorthy), the disadvantaged and the disabled (S.T.A.R.S.).
Since its inception in 2009, more than $1 million has been given in scholarships, assisting 649 graduates of NTI vocational training programs. In 2016, 9,994 lives were touched through Goodwill’s Workforce Development Programs.
More than 130 golfers are expected to participate in the tenth annual tournament.
