As society makes a push for going green, Goodwill’s S.T.A.R.S participants decided to take matters into their own hands through the GreenWorks program.
For the last several months, S.T.A.R.S. participants have been growing vegetable plants from seeds alongside the Tarrant County Master Gardener Association, and this past week they donated young vegetable plants to students at Fort Worth ISD’s Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center.
It was such a delightful experience for the S.T.A.R.S because they got the opportunity to interact with and assist the fourth-grade students while they planted the vegetables in their Outdoor Learning Garden.
See for yourself!
