What can we say about a mother that hasn’t already been said? I hear the term “a mother’s work is never done” continuously from the moms I know. From sickness to triumph, loss to new beginnings, mothers remain the backbone of our families and play an important role in mankind. We have Mother Earth keeping our world beautiful and bountiful, a ‘mother’ board, keeping our electronics running and updated, and of course our physical mothers. In honor of the holiday, we came up with two ways to honor the women who raised us this Mother’s Day:
Handcrafted Love
As the saying goes, “If it’s made from scratch, it’s made with love.” Our S.T.A.R.S. took the saying and ran with it by constructing their own gifts for their moms. Participants took old wooden panels from our warehouse and transformed them into personalized plaques to present as a gift. Sayings like “Love” and “Follow your Dreams” are written as a daily reminder to whoever the craft is given too.
