Five Ways Students Can Prepare for the Upcoming School Year

BacktoSchoolSnip
The long lazy days of summer and coming to a close and it’s almost time to start thinking about going back to school. Here are five tips to get prepared:

  1. Get school supplies now while they are on sale!
Pick up the little items that are easily forgotten when school gets closer, it will save you from the scramble and crazy store lines.
  2. Clean!
Clean out all the junk from your room and throw away all those old papers. This will provide an organized thinking space. Anything that you think is donate-worthy put it in a separate pile and bring to your local Fort Worth Goodwill.
  3. Get a planner!
The best way to keep organized is to have some sort of schedule! Create a mini to-do list of pre-class things you need to get done.
  4. Be active!
Look into joining organizations and clubs at your school–it’s a great way to get involved and meet new friends!
  5. Start sleeping!
Switching from staying up all night to waking up really early is not something that you can change overnight. Practice going to sleep and getting up a little earlier each day to get your body back on school schedule.

And don’t miss our back-to-school sale on Wednesday, August 2 and Tax-Free Weekend, August 4-6, to get the best deals on clothes and decorations for your dorm this year.
