Goodwill Fort Worth strives to be good stewards of all that we are given to ensure the best future for our students, our clients, our community, our organization, and of course, our planet. We are proud to be a leader in sustainability and one of the largest recyclers in North Texas. Goodwill Fort Worth meets the growing needs of businesses, government agencies, and local organizations to up-cycle and properly recycle items they no longer need. Over the past decade, our recycling initiatives have evolved into an approach that at of 2017, diverts more than 2000 tons of waste from landfills each month!
Certified by the State of Texas as an authorized collector of electronic waste, we offer our donors a convenient, eco-friendly way to dispose of outdated or damaged equipment. Hard drives are safely decommissioned or destroyed in accordance with the Department of Defense standards and we are the official E-Waste recycler for the City of Fort Worth.
Additionally, the Goodwill After-Market Sales Center, an 87,000 square foot facility in South Fort Worth, is a hub of recycling activity that handles large-scale recycling. We work closely with organizations such as Service Waste and the City of Fort Worth to execute large-scale recycling projects. With all of these efforts, along with future plans, we are on track to reach our goal of becoming a Zero Wastes facility.
