Dorm Before & After
In August, 2010, Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth designed and donated items to makeover one dorm room at Texas Wesleyan University. For a retail value of $230, Goodwill was able to transform a standard dorm into a trendy space with bedding, wall décor, lamps, chairs, and accessories gathered from Goodwill locations around Fort Worth. The dorm room was designed specifically for one deserving student, senior Selena Stewart. "Designing Selena's dorm has been a great experience and a reminder that one person's donations have the ability to impact another person's life," said David Cox, senior vice president retail sales and marketing.
